FAQ
Permission in sessions works like GDPR on the net. Before doing a session, a client has to give express permission before I can proceed. Generally, booking a session and filling the intake form is equal to giving permission.
When you book an appointment for someone else, this permission has to be expressly provided by the person receiving the session.
For babies, very young children, seriously ill people or those in coma, the carer can give permission for the session.
A session's effectiveness is not based on time but on what your body-mind is ready to work on right at that moment. Some people start shifting as soon as they think of booking an appointment.
Some sessions may take just 15 minutes while others can take longer. Your body-mind is the one doing the healing. Healing through shifts will often continue for at least 2 days in the background as you continue your routines. You can help these shifts by providing pockets of time when you are relaxed. This is when the body-mind will implement the shifts.
A typical session starts when you are as relaxed as you can be. Once I tune in, the session starts. A session can have alternating periods of conversation and silence. On your part, you can tune in to your body and observe any shifts that may come into your awareness. Some people relax and go to sleep. When I work with deep sub-conscious aspects, often clients get into deep sleep states.
Many people are intensely aware of changes in their body - twitches, warmth, energy movements or pulsing; even travelling pain that signals energy shifts. Energy shifts can also be indicated through yawn, burp, cough, sneeze, blink, hiccup and an occasional fart. If you observe these within you, you know some shifts are taking place. If you don't experience any of these, the session is still working - just beyond your current awareness.
A session works best when you are relaxed. In-person sessions are on a massage bed. For zoom sessions, find a place where you can lie down and place your device to your side.
This depends on the individual case. Most people feel lighter after the very first session. In general, the shifts can be subtle or unexpected and not what one is expecting.
My suggestion for new clients is to try for 3 sessions and if you don't see or feel any benefits, then do try another practitioner or modality.
For major issues, weekly sessions work best; at least in the first few months. Once, you begin to feel the shifts, you can switch to fortnightly or monthly. Regular sessions at any frequency work well. Follow a frequency that works best for you and your lifestyle.
There is no concept of diagnosis in BodyTalk or the sessions. Sessions are NOT focused on what is wrong. Instead, they aim to find what, in your body-mind is ready to shift now and how that shift can be brought about.
